Turn your balcony, patio or porch into a tiny climate solution this summer by planting a thriving heirloom tomato surrounded by smart companion plants – all in one container. Discover how healthy soil, mindful watering and natural pest management techniques can boost plant resilience and flavor. By pairing your tomato with helpful companions, you naturally support pollinators, deter pests and create a balanced ecosystem right outside your door. Join Lake Simcoe South Master Gardeners to make one small space and one season into a delicious and meaningful project.Planters are limited, however, if you are unable to reserve a spot you are still welcome to watch the demonstration. If cost is a barrier to participation, please email environment@king.ca.If you are able, please consider parking at the Schomberg Fair Grounds parking lot and making to short five minute walk to the Farm.This workshop is organized by the King Environmental Action Team, presented by the Lake Simcoe South Master Gardeners, and in partnership with the Schomberg Horticultural Society.
