It's my first time. What can I expect? What do I need to bring?

All sessions incorporate warm-up, skills training and sparring. We recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing + tight/cycling shorts for wearing under the mawashi. A water bottle is a must; mouthguards are recommended for sparring.

Who can participate?

Japanese Canadians/Nikkei aged 16+. Japanese Canadian community members are welcome but priority will be offered to folks who identify as Japanese Canadian/Nikkei.

What is your policy on COVID-19?

Accepted Answer

Masks are optional. We abide by provincial guidelines. If you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19, please refrain from attending.
