Do I need to attend both days?

Accepted Answer

No.  The session on Thursday is optional.  If you already know how to segment and only want to learn the HSG protocol  you can attend on Friday.  The cost is the same if you attend one or both days.

Question 2

Do I need a laptop?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you will need a laptop with wireless access.  You will also need to install ITKSnap onto your laptop prior to the event

Question 3

Do I need to have expert anatomical knowledge of hippocampus and its subfields before attending?

Accepted Answer

No.  You do not need to be an MRI expert or have segmentation experience.  We will provide a neuroanatomy primer and hands on training on how to create regions of interest in ITKSnap.

Question 4

I only want to learn automated segmenation, will you teach that too?

Accepted Answer

This workshop is for manual segmentation.  Even if you will ultimately only use automated segmentation in your research, we recommend that you learn how to perform manual segmentation first so that you can verify the quality of the automated segmentation results
