Help support our I Light HFX campaign! The purpose of the I Light HFX campaign is to raise awareness and create a sense of community visibility about cycling after dark. The campaign includes a community ride with well-lit bikes, the distribution of lights in our community, and raising funds for the HCC. Wear your brightest colours. Light up your bicycle. Ride with us.Join us on a bright and shiny bike tour of the Halifax peninsula. Brighten up your bike with lights and anything shiny, and help us raise funds and promote safe cycling after dark! The ride will be an easy 10km ride, and the funds raised will help us giveaway lights to cyclists in need. There will be prizes for the brightest bikes!Details: We’ll meet in the back parking lot at Cyclemith (2553 Agricola St) starting at 6:15pm on Friday, October 25. There will be registration, warm drinks, and last-minute gear-shopping and safety checks. The ride will begin at 7:00pm. Thanks to Cyclesmith for their support in this event! Children 12 and under can attend for free!There will be a celebratory event following the bike ride at The Local, 2037 Gottingen St. Children are allowed to attend the after-party until 9pm, and then they will be asked to leave due to liquor regulations. Tickets are $30.
