I Will

THE INDICAN THEATRE

A Solo Play that portrays a young woman’s struggle for independence against patriarchal expectations through satire, intimacy and resistance

The Nest

The Play “I will” explores the struggles of a young woman caught in the clash between internal freedom and patriarchal expectations in Indian society. Through a solo performance, it reveals how outer spaces become both a voice of resistance and a site of control. Blending personal narrative with satire, the story exposes everyday conflicts faced by women seeking independence. The play is intimate, thought-provoking, and designed for a small theatre setting.
