Ikebana
Overview

Ikebana is a mindful practice of artfully arranging cut flowers, stems, and leaves. Learn while creating with Jenny.

Rooted in centuries of aesthetic refinement, Ikebana is a meditative practice that celebrates nature, balance, and the changing seasons.

We will begin with a projected presentation on the Ohara School of Ikebana, which emphasizes seasonal materials and naturalistic landscapes. There will be completed arrangements available for close study, providing a visual example of the fundamental principles of design, space, and line. Next you will put these principles into practice by creating your own unique arrangement under Jenny’s guidance.

You'll take home not only a beautiful floral arrangement but also an appreciation for the mindful artistry of Ikebana.

This hands-on workshop introduces the spiritual essence and foundational theories of the Ohara School of Ikebana.Participants will learn to create a harmonious arrangement using seasonal branches and flowers.
