In honour of National AccessAbility Week. Walk, join karma classes and support our mission to bring an adaptive biking program to Kamloops!

Who:Join Kasha Mitton, lululemon ambassador and co-creator of the MASH movement for the launch of InclusiABILITY. This dynamic, city-wide event is designed to elevate awareness and foster inclusivity around accessibility in honour of National AccessAbility Week in Canada, which begins May 26th and in celebration of the city's goal to position itself among the most progressive in Canada for people with disabilities.What:This initiative will kick off on May 26th with our annual 'Hey Jude' community walk and activities at TRU. Funds from the walk will go to Defeat Duchenne Canada in honour of local 11-year-old Jude Mitton, an honorary Wolfpack Member who lives with the fatal diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. During the following two weeks, various fitness studios will host Karma (by donation) classes. Funds raised from the Karma classes will be used to purchase an adaptive bike, which will jumpstart the Kamloops Bike Riders Association’s (KBRA) first-ever kids adaptive biking program. We will close the two weeks with a special Unity Flow movement class and community event at lululemon in celebration of InclusiABILITY.Our Why:InclusiABILITY is more than just an event; it's a movement towards creating a more inclusive community where accessibility is not an afterthought but a key consideration in all public and private spaces. By engaging our community in a series of fitness-related activities across the city, our ambassador, Kasha Mitton, aims to not only raise awareness but also create a sense of belonging—a community where everyone feels seen and heard.Our Ask:Join us in supporting InclusiABILITY to further Kamloops' mission of becoming the most progressive city in Canada for people with disabilities. By participating in our events you'll play a vital role in elevating awareness and fostering inclusivity around accessibility during National Accessibility Week. Furthermore, your support will significantly impact our city, helping us pioneer our first-ever kids adaptive biking program and creating a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. The time for change is now!The following tickets are available for purchse:Hey Jude Community Kickoff EventAdults $20Kids/People with Disability FREEMay 26th 5pm In front of Old Main (By Basketball Court)Come walk, bike, wheel, or stroll in support of local 11-year-old Jude Mitton, an honorary Wolfpack Member who lives with the fatal diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Proceeds from the walk will go to Defeat Duchenne Canada in help to bring treatments and fund research for a cure. Scoopz ice cream truck will be onsite with other fun activities. Participants will receive technical t-shirts with registration (limited supply on first come firts serve basis).Supporters- Grab a pre-walk snack and a special 'Hey Jude' beer at Ironroad Brewing, Mittz Kitchen, or Twisted Stead as they are helping bring awareness to the cause! Lace up and join us in movement as we officially launch InclusiAbility. Grab an ice cream from the Scoopz truck and let's stroll the TRU campus in unity and in support of our honorary Wolfpack member JudeMitton who lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Click on tickets below to register. Includes technical t-shirt (limited quantity). Opening remarks and warm-up 4:30 pm at the courts in front of the Old Main building , walk starts at 5pm.
