An immersive experience for Indigenous people considering a career in policing.

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) Recruiting and Indigenous Relations teams are hosting Indigenous Pathways to Policing at CPS Headquarters on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

The third annual event provides an opportunity for Indigenous people considering a career in policing to interact with CPS officers and learn about the application process, required skills and fitness standards through interactive activities.

The half-day event provides a glimpse into a rewarding career as a police officer through the following activities:

  • Recruiting Information Session
  • High-intensity fitness activities
  • Meet and greet with the CPS Mounted Unit

Lunch will be provided.
Space is limited to 36 participants.

Eligibility: Participants must be at least 18 years of age and First Nations, Metis, Urban Indigenous or Inuit. A member of the CPS Indigenous Relations Team will contact all registrants to confirm successful enrollment.

You will be asked to provide your date of birth to complete your registration so that the CPS can conduct a background check. All participants must undergo a background check to access restricted areas at CPS facilities.
