Municipal leaders play a critical role in shaping procurement policies and practices. This summit provides an opportunity to share where your municipality is currently at with Indigenous procurement, discuss challenges and constraints openly, learn from peers and Indigenous business perspectives.

Is this a training or compliance-focused event?

No. This is a dialogue-based event, not a training session or compliance workshop. The focus is on conversation, shared learning, and understanding what's working -- and what isn't -- from both municipal and Indigenous business perspectives.

Will municipalities be asked to commit to policy changes?

No. The intent is not to secure commitments but to listen, learn, and understand current realities. Insights gathered may form future information sharing tools or programming led by Two Rivers Community Development Center.

No. While Indigenous business participation is a key focus, municipal procurement leaders and policy influencers are a primary audience. Meaningful progress requires both sides of the procurement ecosystem at the table.
