Info Session: Launch Your Creative Career in Canada with ArtWorksTO
Are you a newcomer artist looking to build a long-term career in media arts or arts education? Join us for an information session about the ArtWorksTO: Newcomer Program, funded by the TD Ready Challenge.
This workforce development initiative is designed to support 25 newcomer creatives through a combination of education, mentorship, and paid work experience. Learn how you can gain industry-recognized credentials from OCAD University, receive one-on-one and mentorship from established professionals, and earn a $5,000 contract to work on a real-world creative project.
You’ll also discover how the program offers two focused streams: Media Arts and Arts Education, with comprehensive wrap-around supports and ongoing alumni engagement.
During the session, we’ll cover:

- Education and mentorship components
- Paid work-integrated learning opportunities
- Q&A with the program team
Who should attend: Newcomer artists living in the GTA with backgrounds in media arts or arts education who are Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, Protected Persons, or have PR applications in process.
