In this workshop you'll learn how to refurbish an old Windows computer.Support for Windows 10 computers ends in October 2025. Continuing to use an outdated system poses significant security risks.In this workshop, we will guide you through saving essential files, testing your hardware's health, and installing a reliable and supported Linux operating system. You'll walk away knowing how to refurbish your computer with a refreshed, secure operating system, saving you the cost of a new device.This workshop is provided in collaboration with <a href="https://www.freegeektoronto.org/" title="https://www.freegeektoronto.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Free Geek Toronto</a>Registration on Eventbrite is required, space is limited. If a registrant does not show up by 2:05 PM, their spot will be given to drop-in participants.This program is hosted by the Business, Science and Technology department.
