Doug Duncan and Catherine Pawasarat both received lay ordination from Namgyal Rinpoche, and teach and train in the same tradition, emphasizing diverse explorations, self-awareness training and integration, with a focus on awakening in this lifetime.Planet Dharma is universalist by design, Buddhist by background and humanitarian by nature. Along with the work of waking up—cultivating an enlightened state—we also need to do the work of growing up. This means learning to integrate the clear state into the world through doing our shadow work, developing our communication, and doing all the critical development work to be a fully integrated human being. In this course we explore the elements of a fit and dynamic vehicle for 21st-century awakening, and beyond.When?Classes for this course which will take place live on Sunday mornings (January 12th, 19th, and 26th), with additional classes on the fourth weekend flash retreat (February 1st - 2nd).Classes will be video streamed live at 9:30am MST. The recording will be available for one week after each class.The course ends with a Flash Retreat on February 1st to 2nd, 2025 - and there will be classes in the morning and afternoon on both Saturday and Sunday.Tickets: Dana and admin fee combo for these sessions:We offer this course on the basis of dāna, as well as a super early bird admin fee of $80 USD more than four weeks before the deadline, $100 USD two to four weeks before, and $120 USD less than two weeks before the deadline. The admin fee helps cover the costs of running these online courses.For the teachings themselves – Dāna is a Sanskrit term meaning “generosity”. With dāna, we give as a mutual exchange of generosity. You may have come across this in the form of “pay from the heart”. It’s our joy to offer this course, and we trust you’ll match our time, energy, and passion by giving an amount of money that feels good and healthy to both you and us. We suggest a range between $120 and $500 for this four-week course. Please note that this dāna will be for the four weeks of classes including the flash retreat. With this we recommend setting time aside for the whole weekend of February 1st - 2nd if possible.Other Course Details-When you register you will receive a confirmation email with details instructing you how to access the course.-We recommend you attend the classes live to benefit from joining with others, having the opportunity to ask questions, and interacting in breakout rooms. Recordings are available for one week after the class if you are unable to attend.-Homework for anyone attending teachings: opportunities for weekly practice or reflection are given at the end of each class.
