The Office of Indigenous Education and Engagement at VIU supports Indigenous students, faculty and community members by cultivating an inclusive and culturally informed learning environment. We provide programs, services and initiatives that:*enhance student success*assist faculty in incorporating Indigenous perspectives into their teaching*build strong relationships with Indigenous communities.Through collaboration and advocacy, we work to ensure Indigenous voices, knowledge, and traditions are respected and reflected across the university.

VIU's Office of Aboriginal Education &amp; Engagement invites you to engage in an “all my relations” approach to supporting Indigenous learners.

This integrated learning experience is designed to share promising practices that are emerging from the following programs •	Relational Land-Based Learning – a land-based learning program taking place in communities.•	EleV – a holistic program of support that includes wrap-around supports and tuition for Indigenous students and adopts a co-creation approach to learning and growing together.•	Mentorship – the su’luqw’a mentorship program creates community and promotes leadership for Indigenous students that is foundational to student access, persistence and success.•	Indigenous Learning and Recognition Portfolio (tun sy’wen) – a process that engages participants in learning more about “who I am, where I come from, where I am going, and giving back: “sharing of self and strength.”The spirit and intention of these sessions is to extend the network of “all my relations” inviting VIU’s internal community contributions. Outcomes:•	Hear how Indigenous students seek relevancy and reciprocity in their learning journey.•	Learn how Indigenous ways of knowing and being are reflected in relational land-based learning and informed by community partners.•	Reflect on personal professional practice through the lens of tun sy’uwén (your tradition or history).•	Learn the value of humility in integrating local knowledge into curriculum.•	Learn how incorporating Indigenous knowledges into the academy enables students to stand in their strength and give back through mentorship.
