Overview

Free Intermediate First Aid (CPR C & AED) Mar 16–17, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM. For Indigenous women, girls & 2SLGBTQIA+ community members.

Intermediate First Aid (CPR Level C & AED) is a free, 2-day certification course offered by the Edson Friendship Centre in partnership with Chylyn Safety Service Ltd. This training is designed to build life-saving knowledge, confidence, and practical emergency response skills while supporting community safety and employment readiness.

Over two days, participants will learn how to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies, choking, severe bleeding, burns, fractures, and other medical situations. Participants will gain hands-on experience with CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants, as well as scene safety and emergency preparedness.

The training includes interactive learning, real-life scenarios, and practical skill-building in a supportive and inclusive environment. Certification is valid for three years and meets many workplace requirements.

This course is open to Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ community members. All materials will be provided. Registration is required and spaces are limited.
