International Development Week with CCIC & CanWaCH |La Semaine du développement avec le CCCI et le CanSFE

Le français suitJoin the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children&#x27;s Health (CanWaCH) and Canadian Council for International Co-Operation (CCIC) as we celebrate<a href="https://www.international.gc.ca/campaign-campagne/idw-sdi/index.aspx?lang=eng" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> International Development Week (IDW) 2020</a> on Parliament Hill on February 6th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with champions of international development.Come celebrate IDW 2020 and this year’s theme “Go for the Goals” which refers to the United Nations’ <a href="https://www.international.gc.ca/world-monde/issues_development-enjeux_developpement/priorities-priorites/agenda-programme.aspx?lang=eng" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development</a>, this theme illustrates the idea of moving forward in a collaborative and positive way toward a better world. With only a decade until 2030, this edition of the IDW is an ideal moment to highlight the achievements and the efforts Canadians have made toward reaching the<a href="https://www.undp.org/content/undp/en/home/sustainable-development-goals.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs</a>).This reception will include brief remarks on International Development as well as multi-media activities showcasing the importance of achieving the SDGs and how we can continue to work together to create a stronger future where no one is left behind. #GoForTheGoals During the evening, CCIC and the World University Service of Canada (WUSC), in collaboration with the trustees of the Lewis Perinbam Award, will also be announcing the recipients of the <a href="https://ccic.ca/innovation-and-impact-awards/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Impact and Innovation Awards in honour of Lewis Perinbam</a>.Time: 5:00 - 7:00 PMDoors Open: 4:30 PMLocation: Sir John A MacDonald Room -144 Wellington St, OttawaPrice: Free &amp; Open to the Public - Registration Required.
