This workshop covers the essentials of using the version control system Git. You'll be able to create a new Git repo, commit changes, and gain experience in common workflows used at all sophisticated tech companies. During this workshop, you will contribute to a public git project and add to your tech portfolio to help you stand out in the industry.Experience required: writing code of any kindRecommended: create a profile on GitHub.com**participants must bring a laptop to fully participate in this workshopLunch and refreshments provided!Instructor: Juan Moreno is a skilled technology expert with experience developing standalone and web based solutions. Juan has experience working with the government sector, Manufacturing Execution Systems, E-commerce, Travel, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Juan obtained his undergraduate degree in Computing from the University of Guelph and has since used his skills to work alongside various non-profits, startups and multi-national companies such as Amazon and Expedia
