Description

Join us at the University of Victoria Campus Community Garden to learn the basics of beekeeping from our resident beekeeper Barry.
You will learn the importance of bees, what they do for our environment, what swarms are and the basics of keeping a bee box and collecting honey.
There will be honey from our bee boxes to enjoy!

After the event we will be having a tour of the Community garden and our weekly workparty from 5:30 - 7. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY & SNACKS PROVIDED!


About the Facilitator:
Barry is an accredited Bee Master and BCHPA certified instructor of Beginner's Beekeeping. He is a local beekeeper serving the Greater Victoria area on the southern end of Vancouver Island, BC Canada and has been keeping bees for more than 15 years.
