Introduction to Macrame
In this beginner-friendly class, you will make a macrame plant hanger while learning 5 basic macrame knots.
Over the course of 2.5 hours, instructor and fibre artist, Linette Logie, will guide you through the process of making a macrame plant hanger, and teach you the different macrame knots as you work at constructing.
Other things she will cover include the types of material available, how to choose the right kind of cord, and where to source materials.
SUPPLY FEE
All supplies would be included for an additional $10 fee payable in cash to the instructor. Each participant would get a macrame knot guide to keep as well.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Linette Logie is a local fiber artist, focused on macrame and weaving. Linette’s love for the tactile nature of fiber often finds her combining both macrame and weaving into pieces that blend traditional techniques with a contemporary aesthetic.
Linette’s love for the outdoors is often the focus of her pieces, taking inspiration from nature’s organic patterns, textures and hues. Linette also seeks out recycled material whenever possible, using 100% recycled cotton cord and other recycled fibers.
Linette hopes you enjoy her work as much as she enjoys making it!
