Help us rid the Centennial Forest at Coulson Park of this highly invasive weed

Buckthorn is a highly invasive plant that crowds out native vegetation, thereby providing poor habitation and food supplies for native wildlife. Join us to clear out as much as we can from Centennial Park, starting at Coulson Park. 748 - 758 Coulson Avenue.As always, dress for the weather. We highly recommend long sleeves and long pants. Closed shoes are a must. You'll be "in the weeds" and clothing will protect you from scratches and ticks.If you haven't volunteered with us yet this year - all participants must complete waivers and permission forms, available at <a href="https://sustainablemilton.ca/events/#volunteering" title="https://sustainablemilton.ca/events/#volunteering" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">sustainablemilton.ca/events/#volunteering</a> . If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian MUST sign the permission form. Often these forms are sent to their email's junk folder. PLEASE tell them to check there if they do not receive it, it MUST be signed to enable participation.Volunteer hours available.
