A deep-dive into the Jade Method, a standard meditation technique taught at the Monastic Academy

There are many ways to meditate, and many reasons to do it. In past workshops, we have looked at different styles of meditation and received a taste of a broad number of techniques.In this month-long course, we will do a deep-dive into one particular meditation approach: The Jade Method, a standard meditation technique taught at the Monastic Academy. This method can be made as simple or as complex as you choose. You will learn how to align your posture, align your breath, purify hindrances, and rouse heroic motivations. Over time, as you follow this straightforward algorithm and learn to hold these twenty points in your meditation practice, you get closer and closer to states of awareness that are deeper, richer, and more beautiful than you might have ever imagined.This course will be taught by MAPLE Fundamentals Teacher and <a href="https://growingwillow.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Monastic Academy Canada / Willow</a> Executive Director, Jasna Seishin Todorović.Schedule: The four-week workshop schedule will take place on Fridays [October 22, 29 and November 5 and 12] from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET. Cost: Willow Monastic Academy operates based on the <a href="https://www.patreon.com/growingwillow" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">gift economy</a> and the Buddhist spirit of dana. We aim to reduce financial barriers and make our teachings accessible to everyone. For this four-week offering, we recommend a gift range between $100-$200, and encourage you to give based on your financial situation and your values.We commit to offering the same experience whether you give above or below the gift range.
