Keep On Swingin’!

EKOSingers is a 35-voice adult choir with members who love to share a choral style that moves, grooves and soothes. EKOSingers has traveled to St. John’s Newfoundland to participate in Festival 500, an internationally renowned choral festival. The group has performed in Cuba, at “Vancouver Sings” and has twice represented Canada at Middfest International in Ohio, USA. Under the direction of Paula Roberts with music director Charles Austin, a pillar of the Edmonton jazz community, the group brings tight urban vocal sound.

It’s time for some swingin’ entertainment from EKOSingers with their two shows on May 12 and 13, 2018. If you enjoy: Michael Bublé; Frank Sinatra; or Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross, you’ll love this concert. Of course EKOSingers’ musical appetites are diverse so stand by for the likes of Steve Miller, Sting, the Real Group, and Bruno Mars. Wow! EKOSingers delivers this swing buffet at the Westbury Theater in the Arts Barns in the heart of Old Strathcona. Two shows: Saturday May 12 at 8 p.m. and Sunday May 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets ($20) are available at www.ekosingers.com , at www.eventbrite.ca, from EKOSingers members, or at the door. Treat your mother to a Mother’s Day gift or bring the entire family. Comedy, from host, Donovan Workun, a hot jazz band, led by Charlie Austin, swing dancers, refreshments – we’ve got it all, so grab your girl or guy and “Keep On Swingin’!"
