About this event
The Kingston Durga Puja Committee welcomes you to celebrate the first-ever Durga Puja in Kingston. We plan for a full-day event to celebrate this special occasion. Goddess Durga is worshipped as the mother of the universe and is the embodiment of all good qualities, including love, beauty, wealth, and power. This is one of the biggest festivals in India, especially for Bengalis (the people from Bengal, the Eastern parts of India).
The details of the event are as follows:
Date: 2nd October (Sunday) 2022
Venue: Zorbas Banquet Facility, 1474 Bath Road, Kingston.
Schedule:
Morning – 9 AM: Puja & Pushpanjali (offering flowers to Ma Durga)
Noon – 12 PM: Prasad distribution (Lunch)
Afternoon – 4.30 PM: Aarti (a form of prayer)
Evening – 5.30 PM: Cultural program & Fun games
Night – 7.30 PM: Prasad distribution (Dinner)
