Learn the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer and dusting with gold powder + 15% off storewide at Thread Spun.
In this two hour workshop at Thread Spun in Leucadia, you will learn to repair ceramic pieces using a modern version of the ancient Japanese kintsugi craft. Host, Luis, has taught the art of Kintsugi at the Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum for many years, and is now offering the workshop in North County San Diego.
You will leave with two finished ceramic pieces, and will be able to shop 15% off storewide at Thread Spun on the day of the workshop.
Please note workshops are held on our outdoor patio space, please dress appropriately for the outdoor space and weather. We like to call the space cozy, but it has occasionally been called "cramped" by some. It is a narrow but sweet space filled with plants, sunshine and community and we love it very much. Plus, we offer it's use for free to local creatives to help keep ticket prices down and keep art accessible. And that is what matters most. Thank you for your interest, we hope to see you soon.
