The Vancouver Public Space Network is anan all volunteer advocacy organizationworking to champion the importance of public space to the overall liveability of the city. Formed in 2006, our work attempts to provide a blend of focused research and design work, creative community engagement and, a celebratory, solutions-based approach.

This isn't your typical election debate! Vancouver's only municipal election event that's open to ALL mayoral and council candidates.

Last Candidate provides a forum for discussion on key election issues in an event that is infused with music, theatre and a bit of light-hearted fun. Come and hear from the full range of candidates as they take the stage and respond to questions on key local issues in this game-changing take on an election debate.The 2022 edition of Last Candidate is being produced as a collaborative effort between the Vancouver Public Space Network, SFU City Program, and UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. TICKETS &amp; ENTRYThese tickets are for people wishing to attend Last Candidate IN PERSON. Please arrive with your ticket no later than 5 minutes before the event starts. Unclaimed seats will be offered on a first come first serve basis to people without tickets starting at 1:55pm. So if the event is sold out here, come by and you may still get in!Wearing a mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is highly recommended.L﻿IVE STREAMLast Candidate 2022 will also be live-streamed via the Vancouver Public Space Network Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/publicspace/LAND AND LOCATIONThis event takes place on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlil̓wətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. ACCESSIBILITYElevator access can be found near Hornby Street behind the South Stairs of the Vancouver Art Gallery. The Elevator has a clearance of 39 inches.When exiting the elevator, take the corridor to the left and proceed around 50 feet to the theater (this corridor is all on one level).The theatre door has a clearance of ~37 inches and enters into the back of the theatre. There is space at the back of the theatre for wheelchair users.
