Event description

Description

In this highly participative workshop, you'll be introduced to 'design thinking', the creative process for generating innovative products and services, including learning experiences.

In this fast-paced session, we’ll walk you through an entire design cycle: discovering needs, collecting data, generating ideas, prototyping and testing. In fact, you'll experience these five phases of design thinking firsthand as you participate in an exciting group design challenge.

Take aways:

  • A learning experience design toolkit chock-full of activities, tools and strategies that can be used immediately on your own or in your workplace. We’re talking your own personal swag bag with stuff that is actually useful!
  • Learn by doing - the opportunity to get your hands dirty and your feet wet!
  • The opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who are interested in sharing and learning about the potential of design thinking to enrich learning experiences.
  • A certificate of completion.

Who should take this workshop?

This workshop is ideal for anyone who works in the public or private sector and is responsible for:

  • designing learning experiences
  • organizing events
  • facilitating workshops
  • teaching and training
  • coordinating and planning educational programming

This workshop will take place over two days, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Nov. 27 and 28, 2017.
