Learning to Visualize Data in Augmented Reality

UBC Cognitive System Society & UBC Emerging Media Lab

This workshop will teach how to build an augmented reality app to visualize data in real time. We'll be using an autonomous robot (a la COGS 300 labs) as a source for the data. By the end of the workshop, you'll be able to point your phone camera at the robot and see information about the robot superimposed on top of it in the app. This workshop requires some previous experience working with Unity3D. If you're new to Unity, we'll be holding an optional pre-workshop in the COGS lab on March 7th, also 5pm-7pm.  Please note that this workshop has limited spaces - registration is open to the first 30 registrants.
