Description

Attend LEN's annual celebration and enjoy some live music, appetizers from Growing Chefs, an Environmental Pitch Night and other environmentalists' company. Bring your friends and whoever you want to celebrate the environment with!

Enjoyable activities:

  • Environmental Pitch Night - London students will be competing by answering the question: "What is the most effective way to get citizens caring about climate change and changing their habits?" in 10 x 90 second pitches. Prize winner will receive $150. Only students (ages 9-30) can pitch their idea - we want to hear from future generations. Can be a team (prize would be split)
  • Live music by the Jim MacDonald Show
  • Information and stories from the LEN members
  • Appetizers from Growing Chefs!
  • Silent Auction
  • Cash bar featuring local beverages
  • Networking with other environmentalists
  • Dress code: semi-formal/after-five/dressy casual

Thanks to the City of London for co-hosting this event!

Also - you're invited to the next day Resilient Cities Conference as well!

The Resilience Cities Conference will explore how London can build adaptive capacity to weather the “storms” of this new century by inviting cutting edge thinkers from our city and beyond. Participants will be challenged to consider the changes they can initiate in their personal and social spheres of influence. We hope that the conference will mark the beginning of a long journey for London as it transforms itself into one of the most resilient and sustainable cities in Canada.

Date: Saturday November 18th 2017, 9-4pm
Location: Central Library, 251 Dundas St. London Ontario.
Time: Conference is 9-4:00pm followed by a special Pints and Politics on Resilient Cities at the Fox and Fiddle from 4:00pm onward.

Registration for the conference sessions is located on the London Library website. Register here or call 519-661-4600 to register

Everyone welcome. Free to attend.
