The Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship (BII+E) is an independent and nonpartisan policy institute, housed within Ryerson University, that is dedicated to building a prosperous Canada where everyone has the opportunity to thrive due to an inclusive resilient economy. Yet, government</SPAN><SPAN>s</SPAN><SPAN> have </SPAN><SPAN>been slow to unlock </SPAN><SPAN>the full potential of technology and digital platforms - until now.  </SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN></P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>The Ontario Government has </SPAN><SPAN>unveiled a new Digital Government program that will change the game – accelerating innovation, better leveraging data and putting users first by designing simpler, faster and easier-to-use online services for people.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>But they can’t do it alone.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>On <SPAN CLASS="aBn"><SPAN CLASS="aQJ">October 17th</SPAN></SPAN>, the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship </SPAN><SPAN>and Ontario’s Digital Government Team will co-host:</SPAN><SPAN> <STRONG>Let’s Get Digital</STRONG>. </SPAN><SPAN>This launch event </SPAN><SPAN>will bring together digital leaders across industry, community, non-for-profit, and government to </SPAN><SPAN>infuse new ideas and voices as Ontario accelerates its digital change strategy.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>What you can expect: delicious snacks, fun games, inspiring speakers, and a room full of civic innovators and entrepreneurs. </SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>Ideas generated will be collected, synthesized, and posted online for anyone to review. These insights will be </SPAN><SPAN>supplemented with research conducted by the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship, and shared with government leaders.</SPAN></P>
