One day, 5 hour improv workshop intensive exploring the world of movement and physical comedy!
Let's Get Physical:
Come explore the wide world of physicality in this five hour improv workshop intensive. Improviser and director Ben Gorodetsky is offering a playful, collaborative exploration of how to connect to your body and supercharge your physical choices in improv.
Over the course of the session we'll look physical approaches to character, storytelling, group-mind, and mime/object work. Techniques from clown, physical theatre, and movement/dance will be adapted for use in improv comedy.
Prerequisites:
*Some* improv experience recommended.

About the instructor:
Ben Gorodetsky is an improviser, director, and educator based in Kitchener, Ontario. They are curator and host of KW monthly mainstays: Pinch Cabaret and Together We're Boisterous Comedy. Ben has performed, taught, and directed improvisation at The Magnet Theatre (NYC), Out of Bounds Comedy (Austin), UCB (LA), Highwire Comedy (Atlanta), English Lovers (Vienna), IGLU (Ljubljana), FERIIR (Reunion Island), Bad Dog (Toronto), and Blind Tiger (Vancouver). His performance work has been presented by The Art Gallery of Ontario, CAFKA, Lumen Fest, Movement Research at Judson Church, The Tank NYC, Mile Zero Dance, Brian Webb Dance Company, Expanse Festival of Movement Arts, Rubaboo Festival, Guelph Dance Festival, SpringWorks, and the Gas Station Arts Centre. They are creator and executive producer of TV series "My Pet Ate What?" for CTV/Bell Media. Ben is the former Associate Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre a nominee for a Canadian Comedy Award. They teach at UWaterloo and hold an MFA from Brooklyn College-CUNY and a BFA from the University of Alberta.
