Celebrate International Development Week by mixing with Calgary's professionals who are making impact globally.

C﻿algary is home to so many professionals in business, but we are also home to international development (ID) champions, and those two aren&#x27;t mutually exclusive. Our professionals are also champions of advancing the <a href="https://sdgs.un.org/goals" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SDGs</a> and making sure Calgary and Canada contributes to development around the world.<a href="https://www.international.gc.ca/world-monde/issues_development-enjeux_developpement/idw-sdi.aspx?lang=eng" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">International Development Week (IDW)</a> 2023 is Feb 5-11. To recognize this week and to bring Calgarians both in, outside, and on the borders of this space, you are invited to join us for an evening of conversation around this very topic.H﻿ear from a panel of Calgarians who are championing ID work, whether or not they lead careers in that space. Leading <a href="https://www.fairtradecalgary.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Fair Trade Calgary</a> and the champion behind many other causes and organizations locally and nationally, including being a long-time member of our chapter, Erin is furthering the SDGs every day.P﻿anelist: Saima JamalSaima Jamal is a well-known and awarded Calgary-based community organizer and helper, social activist, humanitarian, interfaith promoter and TEDx featured public speaker. Her work focuses on refugee and immigrant issues, activism, anti-racism, religious discrimination and women’s issues. She is the co-founder of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/YYCSYR/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Calgary Immigrant Support Society</a>, program manager of <a href="https://jumpstartrefugee.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jumpstart Refugee Talent</a>, and is involved with numerous other causes and organizations where she advances the SDGs.P﻿lease note that this event has limited capacity, so we encourage you to get your ticket before it sells out. Student tickets are even more limited.
