Please join us for our first Web Type workshop, featuring with web type specimen designer & developer, <A HREF="http://kennethormandy.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Kenneth Ormandy</A>. Kenneth is one of the co-founders of Vancouver's type meet-up group, <A HREF="http://typebrigade.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Type Brigade</A>. 
This four-hour introduction to Web Type is perfect for those with a beginner / intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS. Course will include:
- A look at type specimens on the web - How to bring some elements of these typographic sites—dynamic scaling text, typographic SVGs and animations, OpenType features—into your own projects using CSS and JS - A look at what might change in the near future with Variable Fonts arriving
We’ll build a project focused on web typography using some of these tools, which will leave you with some code samples you can bring into your own work right away, and a space to keep experimenting further.
Please note: attendees must bring their own laptop to the workshop.
