The Waterloo Region Immigration Partnership and the Social Service Worker program at Conestoga College invite you to an in-person screening of &quot;The Six&quot;.When RMS Titanic sank on a cold night in 1912, barely 700 people escaped with their lives. Among them were six Chinese men. Arriving in New York with the other survivors, Less than 24 hours later, they were expelled from the country, soon forgotten, and lost beneath the waves of time. What became of them? Join us to learn about their story!!Join us for an eye-opening screening of &quot;The Six,&quot; - a powerful film that sheds light on the challenges and obstacles people may encounter as they embark on a journey to a new country.A Post-Screening Discussion by Julie Hamilton and Debashis Dutta!!Come enjoy a post-screening discussion by Julie Hamilton - a genealogist and local history researcher from Cambridge; Julie is one of the researchers in the film &quot;The Six&quot;. Debashis Dutta- teacher in the social service worker program at Conestoga College, hand in the social work program at Renison University College. Debashis is also a social worker in the community and has done some research on immigration and identity.Snacks and popcorn will be provided!
