Love's Labour's Lost - William Shakespeare
When the King of Navarre and his three lords swear off women, sleep and food for three years in favour of devoting themselves to intense study, they realize too late that they have forgotten that the Princess of France and her three lovely attendants will be arriving shortly to discuss important business.  It’s love at first sight for all involved but the men’s oath forces them to hopelessly disguise their feelings while the women’s witty antics lead to some impish game play.  Meanwhile, the eccentric Don Armado finds himself in a love triangle between the country wench Jaquenetta and the court fool Costard.  When the head teacher, a curate, local constable and a puckish youngster all get thrown in to the mix, everything culminates in crossed wires, disguises, mistaken identity, love poetry and a play within a play in this rollicking, romantic comedy of wit and wordplay.
