Looking to fund your next hire? Meet us to learn more about wage subsidies to hire post-secondary students. During this session, you will learn about the Magnet funding opportunity as well as what you need to start the journey of hiring your first team members.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • Introduction to payroll and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Payroll requirements for employers
  • Registering a Payroll Account with CRA
  • What information do you need from your new employees?
  • What are withholding taxes?
  • What is a remittance?
  • Filing T4 Summary and slips annually
  • Records of Employment
  • Other payroll related taxes: EHT and WSIB
