M﻿AE STUDIO InstructorCécile Raizonville  collaborate creatively with local textile and fashion brands. She   graduated from LCI Fashion design program  in Barcelona. She founded  the  womenswear Brand Matière Noire with two collaborators in Montréal which gained recognition at a national level.  She moved to British Columbia in 2016 and has worked in the garment manufacturing industry since then.  After offering consulting services for various brand in Vancouver, she officially launched MAE , a studio aiming at to bringing her experience and creativity at the service of the growth of a culture of sustainability in Fashion.

Our upcoming Introduction to Sewing Workshop is fast approaching ! This session is designed for beginners as well as more advanced makers that want to practice new techniques. Whether you’re new to sewing or want a refresher, I will guide you step-by-step through the process to create a full project . You will make a staple Summer Hat ! By the end of class, you’ll walk away with a completed accessory and newfound sewing skills!Workshop DetailsDate Saturdays 21st and 28th of June , 10am to 12:30pmThis Introductory to Sewing class will also review all the steps to handle a sewing machine.After completion of this class, you will confidently be able to:- thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin.- feed the fabric through, sew in a straight line and turn corners. , sew a hem - explore the range of features and stitches on the machine.- troubleshoot common errors and be aware of them!- sew different types of seams- Use the pins, cutting your fabric properly- read patterns instruction of simple projects . - Measure yourself and make head accessories.Beginners are welcome !Sewing Machine providedFabric and notions are in addition.
