Make it Awkward Concert

Rachael John-West and Alain Intwali are artists living in Edmonton. They were inspired by the #makeitawkward movement to use their music to stand up to discrimination and raise awareness on the issue.#MakeItAwkward seeks to give every willing person, business and institution the tools, platform and voice to safely speak up and/or help out in the face of racism, hate and prejudice of all kinds.Visitwww.makeitawkward.ca to find out more information on the amazing movement and take a pledge to make it awkward when faced with discrimination of any form.

Come hear inspiring music and poetry by passionate local artists spreading awareness of a positive, tolerant and inclusive message, using their art to fight discrimination.  Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7:00pm sharp
Tickets: $20 per ticket, free for children under 10 ALL proceeds go to the Center for Race and Culture.

Special guest, Jesse Lipscombe, co-founder of the <A CLASS="_58cn" HREF="https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/makeitawkward" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">#makeitawkward</A> movement, is the keynote speaker.
