Arts Council Wood Buffalo (ACWB) is a non-profit society and charitable organization that supports the growth and success of the arts in Wood Buffalo. ACWB was established to raise the profile of the arts in our region and to provide support to all facets of the arts community.ACWB offers a variety of services and events that: build the capacity of our local artists to compete and thrive; enable collaborations between artists, arts organizations, non-profits, and industry; and, advocate for our region’s arts municipally, provincially, and federally.Through these initiatives, Arts Council Wood Buffalo is fostering an environment that embraces the arts as integral to a remarkable quality of life.

Design and create your own masquerade mask at Voices of the North!

Kiyām Community Park

Unleash your creativity and craft your own unique masquerade mask at this hands-on workshop. Guided by Arts Council Wood Buffalo, participants will design and create one-of-a-kind masks, perfect for wearing to this year’s Wood Buffalo Excellence in Arts Awards, where we will pay homage to Truman Capote’s iconic 1966 Black and White Ball, an unforgettably chic masquerade.This workshop is open to participants ages 16 and up. Youth ages 12–15 are welcome with adult supervision for the duration of the session.$15 with advance registration. Limited spots may be available at the door for $20.
