MASTERCLASS: Coaching Client Commitment, Focus & Follow-Through
Use coaching tools more intentionally when clients feel stuck, scattered, or inconsistent.
Session Abstract:
Building on the familiar foundation of the 5 Erickson Principles, Erickson Facilitator and Mentor Guy Woods will introduce a complementary set of 5 Mental Fitness Principles designed to strengthen client focus, deepen motivation, and support lasting follow-through.
You'll explore the engine behind meaningful progress: the mind-body connection. Through a blend of practical tools and live exploration, you'll bridge insight with application. You’ll revisit powerful solution-focused techniques (reframing, As If, and Logical Levels) through the lens of mental fitness, discovering how to use them more intentionally when clients feel stuck, scattered, or inconsistent.
You'll also explore how to support (and unpack) the subtle nuances behind lack of commitment and focus, helping you meet clients with both precision and compassion (and staying in Coach Position).
By the end of this session, you will:
✨ Differentiate between motivation and mental fitness, and why that distinction matters in coaching outcomes
✨ Apply 5 Mental Fitness Principles alongside the Erickson Principles to strengthen client commitment and follow-through
✨ Use solution-focused tools (reframing, As If, Logical Levels) to support focus-driven goals
Come ready to think, stretch, and maybe even do a few mental push-ups of your own.
