MATR is super excited to host our first trailwork day in the form of an urban trail spring clean-up just in time for Earth Day! IN PERSON!

<h3>We're looking forward to showing our urban trails some love just in time for Earth Day. </h3>MATR is hosting a number of spring cleaning groups in Winnipeg, Kenora, and Brandon. We have been waiting for this all year and can't wait to see you all smiling with your eyes IN PERSON! All groups will be limited to a maximum of 10 individuals. While the Manitoba government will allow larger groups outside, MATR is adopting a cautious approach for the safety of our membership. Please be prepared to follow the guidelines below. To comply with group size restrictions, you must claim a spot for the clean-up event you wish to be a part of.

<h3>Clean up guidelines:</h3><ul><li>You must pre-register at least 24 hours in advance.</li><li>Please use the <a href="https://sharedhealthmb.ca/covid19/screening-tool/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">COVID-19 screening tool</a> 24-hours in advance of participating.</li><li>Each location to will limited to allotted participants - including the leader, with a maximum of 9 other people at each location (including any children you might be bringing along).</li><li>You should practice physical distancing by staying a minimum of two (2) meters away from other folx at all times if they are not part of your immediate household, while on the trail, and at any meet-up spots.</li><li>We highly encourage wearing a mask as you will be in proximity to folx from outside your household, even though we are meeting outside and physically distancing. Tip: wear your MATR buff over your mask for max spirit points! Wearing other trail family gear highly recommended!</li><li>Please carry hand sanitizer and regularly wash hands, not just a COVID precaution, but 'cause we're picking up garbage!</li></ul>Please bring:<ul><li>A bag or two for garbage collection in Brandon. In Winnipeg, <a href="https://www.takepride.mb.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Take Pride Winnipeg</a> and <a href="https://www.recycleeverywhere.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Recycle Everywhere</a> has been kind enough to provide bags for us to use.</li><li>Gloves to protect your hands and/or a garbage picker if you have one. Tip: Consider using gardening/work gloves or a pair of running gloves that can be thrown in the washing machine after to help reduce waste from disposable gloves! Rubber dishwashing gloves work great, too!</li><li>Hand sanitizer.</li></ul>In an effort to protect each other, any individual experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or having close contact with someone who has tested positive is expected to do the following:<ul><li>Cancel their registration &amp; stay home.</li><li> Use the <a href="https://sharedhealthmb.ca/covid19/screening-tool/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">self-screening too</a>l and get tested for COVID-19 if appropriate.</li><li>Follow public health guidelines regarding isolation and quarantine.</li><li>Anyone who tests positive after attending the event should inform MATR info@matr.ca immediately, for contact tracing purposes. Your personal details will not be shared.</li></ul>After the clean-up:<ul><li>Use hand sanitizer before you pack up &amp; touch your other belongings or your car.</li><li>Wash hands thoroughly when you get home.</li><li>Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces (e.g. your phone).</li></ul>

IMPORTANT: We have capped tickets to 4/person. Please make sure you provide full contact details for any additional people you are claiming a spot for, for contact tracing purposes. If you would like to register more than 4 participants, please do so under another address.
