About this event

Experiential learning covers a broad spectrum of learning experiences that engage students in applying course content in a practical setting. This experience helps students deepen their knowledge and understanding of a subject area, develop skills beyond those learned in the academy and refine life values and perspectives.

This session offers an introduction to experiential learning, highlighted by:

  • Definition and different types of experiential learning
  • Essential components to integrate experiential learning into a course – why, how, and when
  • Assessment in the experiential learning context
  • Experiential learning in the virtual and face-to-face settings
  • Available resources and supports
