Overview

The Medical Hackathon is a case study competition and conference for those with passions in both Biology and Computer Science.

This event is both a case study competition and a conference based event taking place over two days. Attendees have the option to attend both days or just the conference date. The case study competition is an opportunity for undergraduate students to compete using background knowledge in biology and programming.

Case Study Competition-Lectures and Lunch (March 9th)

Two University Professors will be instructing students on methods in programming and on the specific disease the case study will be based on for them to then use while they work in teams.

Case Study-Work Time

Students will work in their teams of four (two biology students and two computer science students) to solve the case study, with times for breaks.

Conference Day, Lunch and Award Ceremony-(March 10th)

On the second day of the event, participants will be able to listen to guest speakers in industry and academia. They will also have the opportunity to network in roundtables and learn about up and coming research involving AI in Healthcare.
