Medicine Bag Making Workshop

Looking to reconnect with your ancestors and cultural traditions? Or interested in learning about Indigenous culture in a respectful and meaningful way?

Join us for a hands-on Medicine Bag Making Workshop where participants will create their own medicine bag using traditional materials such as hide and artificial sinew.

Medicine bags hold important cultural meaning in many Indigenous traditions. During this workshop, an Elder Terrance To'mas will be present to share teachings and cultural context, offering participants an opportunity to learn and create in a respectful and welcoming space.

This workshop welcomes those reconnecting with their Indigenous heritage as well as those who wish to learn with respect and appreciation for Indigenous knowledge and craft.

No prior experience is needed. Whether you are new to working with hide or have experience with beadwork and leathercraft, this workshop is a space to create, share stories, and connect with community.

All materials and guidance will be provided—just bring your good energy and a curious heart.

We look forward to creating together.
