Metatron Press x In the Mood Magazine are pleased to announce METAMOOD, an afternoon celebrating our vibrant literary ecosystem and the launch of Kawai Shen’s profound new book, Wavering Futures.

Join us at Parquette on the afternoon of June 7th for a luscious lineup of readers from near and far. We’ve been loving these weekend afternoon affairs, and are so excited to gather again to dream and conspire about the future of art and literature amid times of great uncertainty.

In collaboration with our dear friends In the Mood Magazine, we bring to you readings by:

This stacked lineup will require two sets of conscious listening, so please plan for a break and to stick around. We will have books, music, and vibes, plus delicious treats and elixirs available from the café.

We are also sharing the afternoon with FLOP, so stick around for that as well, and keep the energy going into the evening for a PUZZLE party series later on.

Please bring your attention, ideas, goodwill, and honesty. No recordings will be permitted ♡

A percentage of proceeds will be donated to Mouvement transféministe, a Québec-based group led by trans women and transfeminized people organizing for rights, care, and liberation. Each ticket includes one free entry into our fundraising draw, with extra tickets available on site. Come for the readings, stay for the treats, the books, the draw, FLOP, and Puzzle later in the evening.

• PWYC option at check-out
• Parquette has one stair up from street level to get into the space, with a ground-floor accessible washroom
• All washrooms are gender neutral
• Masking is encouraged! 😷
• Free N-95 and surgical masks at the door
• Space is large and will run two HEPA air purifiers (Winix C 535) by seating area
• We will leave doors open for air circulation (weather permitting)
• Water will be provided
