Join us for a chill walk where we slow down, breathe deep, and soak in the relaxed energy together.
Mindful Walking Explained
Mindful Walking or Forest Bathing is a gentle, guided moving meditation in nature designed to quiet the mind, calm the nervous system, and help you reconnect with yourself through embodied presence. Led by Registered Clinical Counsellors from the deVries Counselling Group in Port Moody. This is an opportunity to take a few little steps down the path of mindfulness and improved wellbeing.
Rather than a hike or workout, this experience invites you to slow down, move gently, pause often, and engage your senses with intention — sight, touch, sound, smell, breath, and subtle movement. Through simple prompts and spacious silence, you’ll be guided to notice the light through the trees, the textures around you, the temperature of the air, the sounds of nature, and your own internal rhythms as you walk.
This deeply grounding and restorative practice supports nervous system regulation, mental clarity, and a greater sense of calm and connection. There is no performance, no required fitness level, and no pressure to participate in any way — you are welcome exactly as you are.
Why Join Mindful Walks?
- Step Away from the Stress – Leave stress behind for a refreshing experience.
