Her recent album ‘Slow It Down’ unravels cycles of disappointment and growth, emotional loops that echo in both personal relationships and her journey through the music industry.</p><p>On “Spinning,” Vega captures the quiet dread of chasing something uncertain, singing, “still getting older while I’m going nowhere”, a line that distills the fear of running out of time without anything to show for it. “Close” flips the lens outward, turning frustration into clarity as she confronts an industry that repeatedly says, “you almost would’ve made it.” And on “Hollow,” she reflects on being the one who pulls away, tracing the aftermath of emotional unavailability with unflinching honesty.</p><p>Mini Trees’s 2025 headline tour saw sellout shows across the US including LA, San Francisco, Chicago, DC, NYC, Boston, and more. Both an ode and a eulogy to the Seattle area, Farr-Morrissey grapples with how her hometown has mutated, not into something better or worse necessarily, just different.
