Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold, a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections.

Repairing pottery with a contemporary twist

Experience the beauty of urushi (Japanese lacquer) in our 1 Day Modern Kintsugi workshop. Unlike conventional modern kintsugi methods that use only artificial glue. You will leave satisfied with both the experience of Kintsugi and the final product of your Kintsugi pottery from the workshop.

The modern kintsugi method creates stunningly restored pottery, and it is also food safe

Pottery will be provided.

Please note: We do not recommend this workshop for pregnant or breastfeeding women due to the nature of the chemicals.

Please Note: We do NOT offer repairs

We provide the pottery for the workshop as there is a learning curve when learning the art of Kintsugi.


WORKSHOP DETAILS
AGE APPROPRIATENESS: 16+ (with adult accompaniment)
LEVEL: Beginner, no previous experience necessary

MATERIALS PROVIDED:
Small Bowl/Plate
Gold Powder
Hammer
Brush
Cloth
Epoxy Resin

Our workshop include tea, coffee and something sweet.

Completed Kintsugi will require cure time of 24 hours, but participants will take their pieces home the day of.
