Join the celebration of Black History Month at our Dancehall Workshop! Immerse yourself in the vibrant beats of dancehall as we honor the powerful legacy of black music and movement. Join us on this rhythmic journey – where every step is a celebration of history, diversity, and the joy of dance! Spots are limited so register today to secure your spot! At this workshop you will learn:<ul><li>The history of Dancehall and,</li><li>The fundamental moves of the genre</li></ul>Come down to Evergreen Brick Works and get moving with your instructor Kelly-Ann Johnson. Kelly-Ann is a Professional Dancer, Choreographer, Model and Stylist. Ticket Cost:This workshop follows a ‘Pay What You Can’ model, meaning that we are asking participants to pay what they are willing/able to participate in the workshop. The suggested ticket fee is $20. This allows everyone to still be able to attend but also helps us raise funds that go directly back to running the site and towards beloved programming like Move with Evergreen Dance Workshops. A note on the 'Pay What You Can' workshop ticket: The amount you choose to pay provides you with a ticket to the workshop and is not a charitable donation, and thus not eligible for a tax receipt.
