The event begins with a protocol ceremony honoring Indigenous peoples. This day is an opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural diversity that enriches us all and reaffirm our commitment to equity, inclusion, and mutual respect.About Multicultural Connections "Multicultural Connections" is a one-day festival celebrating Canada's diverse cultures, ethnicities, languages, and landscapes. This event will feature a variety of activities designed to educate, entertain, and inspire attendees of all ages.What to Expect:Cultural Booths: Explore booths showcasing different cultures, their traditions, and unique aspects.Performances: Enjoy traditional music, dance, and performances on the main stage, featuring local and emerging talent.Interactive Displays: Engage with hands-on cultural activities, such as a blanket ceremony, dance workshops, and cooking demonstrations.Workshops: Participate in workshops on Indigenous and immigrant languages, and learn through virtual tours of Canada's diverse geography.Food Stalls: Savor the taste of Canada's culinary variety with food stalls offering a range of dishes.Artisan Market: Discover handmade cultural crafts from local artisans.Educational Talks: Attend talks and discussions on multiculturalism and inclusion, with segments focused on youth.Language Corner: Experience mini language lessons and poetry, highlighting Canada's linguistic diversity.Opening Ceremony The event will begin with a protocol ceremony honoring First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, featuring a land acknowledgment, blessings, and performances.
