In 1887, journalist Nellie Bly went undercover and admitted herself to Blackwell's Island insane asylum for women. This one-act play, performed by our theatre intensive class, follows Nellie's journey into the asylum.

<p>In 1887, journalist Nellie Bly went undercover and admitted herself to Blackwell's Island insane asylum for women. She bravely exposed the horrific conditions and treatment of the women living there. This one-act play follows Nellie's journey into the asylum, where she meets many women who are admitted against their will. Valley Drama School's theatre intensive class tells this remarkable story January 22-24, 7pm in STUDIO Z, Al Whittle Theatre.</p>
