SWR is excited to share another step in our work to support the building and development sector towards high efficiency buildings and retrofits. We hear similar challenges across the building industry such as aging buildings, complex climate targets, and no simple way to know which retrofit to do first. Please join us for an in-person networking session on August 26th, 4:30 - 6:30pm at evolv1 in Waterloo to discuss some of these challenges, gaps and potential solutions.

We'll be convening building owners, municipalities, portfolio managers, engineering firms, contracting firms and utilities across our greater region to meet with us and our development partners for a candid conversation about retrofit challenges and what's working. We'll hear from Sustainable Buildings Canada about the work they're doing facilitating Integrated Design Processes with construction project teams. We'll also introduce Kelly Ross who is leading the frameworks program (southwestern Ontario building innovation exchange) and Pratik Vyavahare who is leading the development of Scout (AI building retrofit screening tool).

Our hope is that this evening becomes the starting point in driving real action towards effective retrofits. To get the most from it, please bring with you anyone else from the building team you would like to include in the conversation along with yourself.
